Who we are

Scope

These terms of sale apply to every merch order and event reservation placed on maff.be. By placing an order or reservation you accept them.

Prices

All prices are in euros (EUR) and include Belgian VAT. Shipping costs are not included in product prices and are shown separately at checkout before you pay.

Obvious pricing errors do not bind us. If we discover one after you order, we will contact you and you can choose between the corrected price and a full refund; if we cannot reach you within 7 days of our first message, we will cancel and refund.

Ordering and payment

Payment is handled by Stripe. You pay at checkout by card, Bancontact, Apple Pay or Google Pay; your card details never reach our servers. Your order or reservation is confirmed by email once payment has completed.

Event reservations: your seats are held for 30 minutes while you complete payment. If payment is not completed within that window, the hold is released and the seats become available again.

Merch orders: your checkout session stays valid for 30 minutes, but items are not reserved until your payment completes. In the rare case an item sells out while you are paying, see Refunds below.

For free events, your reservation is a request: it is only confirmed once we email you a confirmation, and we may decline (for example if the event is full).

Shipping

We ship to Belgium and the European Union only. Shipping costs 6.00 € within Belgium and 12.00 € to other EU countries. The shipping cost applicable to your order is always shown at checkout before you pay; that amount prevails over the figures on this page.

We dispatch orders as quickly as we can and deliver within 30 days of your order unless we agree a different date with you. Risk passes to you on delivery.

Right of withdrawal — merch

For merch purchases you have the legal right to withdraw within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. Email shop@maff.be within that period — a plain email is enough; you may also use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

Return the items within 14 days of telling us. You may inspect the items as you would in a shop; if handling goes beyond that, we may deduct the resulting loss in value from your refund. Please use the original packaging where possible. Return shipping is at your cost.

We refund the full purchase price, including the original standard shipping cost, within 14 days of receiving the returned items (or proof that you sent them), using your original payment method.

Event reservations — no right of withdrawal

Event reservations (dinner clubs, workshops, and similar leisure activities on a fixed date) are exempt from the right of withdrawal under article VI.53, 12° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. Paid reservations are final.

If MAFF cancels an event, you receive a full refund. If you can no longer attend, contact us at shop@maff.be — we will help where we can, but a refund is not guaranteed.

Refunds

All refunds are processed through Stripe to the payment method you used.

If an item — or the last seats at an event — sells out while you are completing payment, we refund you in full automatically and email you as soon as the refund is issued.

Legal guarantee

The Belgian legal conformity guarantee applies to all goods: if an item turns out to be defective or not as described within two years of delivery, contact shop@maff.be and we will repair or replace it, or refund you if neither is possible. This covers defects present at delivery — not normal wear and tear or damage caused by use.

Governing law and disputes

Belgian law applies to these terms. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that designate another forum.

If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you can contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst): consumentenombudsdienst.be.
